Big Brother Canada
One thing I learned about Big Brother is that most international versions are entirely different from the US version. Most are basically a different show. However, Canada is almost exactly the same as the US version, with a few tweaks here and there. There are some things the US still does better, but Canada does many things that I wish our version could take away from.
Good Trouble
A few years ago ABC family released a show called The Fosters that followed a family with one biological child, 2 adopted children, and 2 new foster children. I started the show when it first released but up until this past year in quarantine did I go back and finish the series. Part of the reason I was prompted to finish it was because I heard that there was a spin-off called Good Trouble that followed the two daughters as they start their adult lives in LA.
Bridgeton
Leave it to Netflix to release yet another original that I’ve managed to binge in basically a single day. Bridgeton is a victorian tale about the families in London’s high society during the wedding market season. It mainly follows one of the more popular families – the Bridgeton family and their daughter Daphne who is looking for an eligible husband on the marriage market.
Glee
For all my music and theatre lovers out there who haven’t seen Glee yet, please get on it!
Glee was one of my favorite shows in high school. It was such a feel-good show with great music performances and silly storylines. It was a show that had serious storylines but at the same time, you didn’t have t take it so seriously.
Big Brother
I mentioned a couple of weeks ago that I would do a Media Monday on Big Brother and this week is the perfect week because Big Brother: All-Stars premieres on Wednesday! With COVID delaying the usual start of Big Brother by two months, I'm super excited that it's finally airing and to have an All-Star season.
